Park-it is an application for people to find parking, reserve a spot, and navigate to the spot. A 360-degree camera and device have to be installed to use the application for older cars. The interface of this application can be used from a car display or mobile phone. Upon entering the parking lot, we can use the navigation option to see the AR visualization of the parking lot, which gives us directions to the reserved spot.

Finding a parking spot in most metropolitan areas is next to impossible for people, especially during rush hours. This problem arises because it's difficult to know where empty parking spots are available, and even if they are, many drivers may pursue the spot, leading to serious traffic congestion. This competition will also lead to a hike in parking ticket prices.
How might we design a system to provide a hustle-free parking search experience in a busy metropolitan area?
The reservation-based smart parking system (RSPS) is designed and implemented to allow drivers to effectively find and reserve vacant parking spaces. The system periodically learns the current parking status from the sensor networks in the parking lot. This information can be accessed by the drivers through their devices, such as smartphones.

Other features are parking fee comparisons of different parking lots and safety cameras (where the car is monitored using the parking lot), and live data is sent to the application. I feel this device needs a car with a display or mobile phone within a holder to ease the user's experience. Machine learning can be used to give suggestions and improve the experience by recording the driving and parking patterns of the user. Further, this experience can be improved by voice commands and suggestions and reducing the things to do while driving.
